The extensive growth of the Tube8 site and the recent surge in porn-related twitter popularity (follow @tube8) has driven us to create a public realm where users can openly discuss our porn videos. For these reasons, we’ve decided to further develop the commenting system. You now have the ability to exchange thoughts, ‘like’ each other’s comments and reply to the thread, located below the video. Keep in mind that you can also filter your search results by videos most commented on. The new feature is subject to receive further improvements in the upcoming months.

Lately, I believe you changed the way you weight the different parameters to order the searches. It seem like you gave more weight to newer, higher ranked results and less to relevancy. For exemple, if you research a common tag like “cumshot” and a more rare one like “outdoor” and try to order them by rating, you will soon find out that many suggestions are not related to “outdoor” but only highly rated, or new.
I know it’s all about preference and a very controversial topic as there is not perfect answer. But I’d really like to set my own weight to that sorting behavior. In a perfect world, maybe being able to save such preset ?

That’s an interesting idea. We sort results based on relevance, taking into account the importance of each query words that match, allowing partial matches; and secondly, on video quality, e.g. ratings (taking vote counts into consideration), views, etc. The idea is to show on top (e.g. first page) the most relevant and better quality videos, without asking the user to choose one order criteria. We’re appreciative of user opinion and will definitely take it into consideration for future projects. I will submit the feedback to the site’s management team. Have a great day!
where did my favorite videos go

Please log in to your account, click on your profile name in the top right hand corner and your favorite videos should appear in the main screen. We will be adding the ‘Favorites’ tab within the coming days. Let me know if you need anything else.
